Desert Rain House in Oregon is one of the greenest homes in the world

There's a new contender for the world's greenest home: Desert Rain House in Bend, Oregon. The LEED Platinum home that recycles all its water and produces more power than it can use is the first to be certified by the Living Building Challenge. Solar panels and a rainwater collection system allow this super green residential compound to pioneer a new paradigm for sustainable living. Related:
