A former ski lift station takes on new life as a bold mountain lodge

A small mountain lodge has replaced an old lower ski lift in the Krkonoše mountains in the Czech Republic. The project from Czech studio ADRhas been nominated for a Czech Architecture Award 2018.   The lodge is named after the confluence of the Kolben and Černá Voda streams, which marks the location of the elegant mountain retreat.   The small structure was created as a lodge for short-term guests of the Tereza mountain chalet’s owner.   The mountain dwelling...
